PFR Ventures, TFI BGK and NCBR have called for enrollment for the PFR NCBR CVC fund

PFR NCBR CVC is the first fund of funds that systemically provides financing to Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) funds managed by professional and investment teams independent of investors. The PFR NCBR CVC fund will provide CVC funds with funds in the amount of over PLN 400 million, which, increased by private capital, will result in total in over PLN 800 million in financing.

"So far, there has been no institution supporting the CVC building process in the Polish market. Thanks to PFR NCBR CVC, the first of this type fund of funds has been established, which initiates the creation of the CVC segment in Poland," said Maciej Ćwikiewicz, the Vice-President of PFR Ventures.

The created CVC funds will invest in technology companies at their growth and expansion stage. In addition to VC type financing, portfolio companies will have the opportunity to verify their ideas in an individual corporation.

"If an international corporation acts as a private investor in the CVC fund, Polish startups will additionally be able to expand faster outside Poland," said Ewa Małyszko, the President of the Management Board of TFI BGK.

"The money invested by us will work in the market for a long time, ensuring financing to landmark technological projects that can become the flagship projects of Poland in the world,"
added prof. Maciej Chorowski, the Director of the National Center for Research and Development.

By means of participation in the fund, a corporate investor will access the most promising and prospective projects, including those aligned with the corporation's development strategy, which may have a significant and positive impact on its competitive position in the future.

"We plan to build from 6 to 9 CVC funds with a total capitalization of over PLN 400 million. The share of private capital will be not less than 50% in each CVC fund. We want to encourage corporations to invest in technological SMEs," said Maciej Daciewicz, the Investment Director at PFR Ventures.
